Albert Frederic Marriott Chandler (August 28, 1883 in Newark, New Jersey – November 6, 1942)[1][2] was a University of Virginia student in 1907 who co-edited, with Charles S. McVeigh, the collection Songs of the University of Virginia. While not a member of the Virginia Glee Club, he was, like McVeigh, a member of the Hot Feet, and was also a member of Zeta Psi, Theta Nu Epsilon, Eli Banana, P.K. Society, and the baseball team, where he played catcher.[3]
Chandler served in World War I in France from 1918 to 1919 as a 1st Lieutenant in the infantry, including time in the courier service.[4] He was discharged on September 30, 1919. [2]
