Allan Charles Gray Mitchell (1902 – November 7, 1963)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1923-1924 season. In his fifth year of (graduate) studies at the University of Virginia during the season, he was also a member of Beta Theta Pi, Phi Beta Kappa, and Alpha Chi Sigma, and was an instructor in chemistry.[2]
Mitchell received his Ph.D. in physics from the California Institute of Technology in 1927.[3] He became chair of the physics department at Indiana University.[4]
