The 1936 Glee Club Quartet appearance at the Alumni Dinner occurred January 31, 1936 in the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC and was sponsored by the Washington Chapter of the Alumni Association of the University of Virginia. The Glee Club Quartet (Vincent Tramonte, Guy Hope, Winston Hope, and Rial Rose) appeared with Harry Rogers Pratt as the entertainment. Speakers included University president John Lloyd Newcomb, US Solicitor General Stanley Reed, and US Senator from Tennessee Nathan Lynn Bachman.
