Charles Carden Tarkenton (February 24, 1928 in Newport News, Virginia – July 26, 1992)[1] was the president of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1952-1953 season, and also served as manager in the 1951-1952. He was also a member in 1949-1950 and 1950-1951. While a student at the University of Virginia, he was also a member of Army ROTC and the Jefferson Sabres, and was the founder of the Monroe Rifles.[2]
