Crowder, 1952 Corks and Curls
Charles Harper Crowder, Jr. (August 7, 1927 – August 10, 2012),[1] of South Hill, Virginia, was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1944-1945, 1945-1946, and 1946-1947 seasons. He was an undergraduate student during the season.[2] He lived in 18 East Range[3] from 1945 to 1949. Completing his medical degree in 1952, he was also a member of Sigma Xi, Omicron Delta Kappa, the Raven Society,[4] the Interfraternity Council, Student Council, the Jabberwock, and Alpha Omega Alpha, and was president of Phi Chi.[5]
He received his BA, MA, and PhD from the University of Virginia and served as a regimental surgeon in the Korean Conflict. He served as a family physician for many years.[4]
