The 56th Annual Christmas Concerts of the Virginia Glee Club were conducted by Craig Fennell as part of the Glee Club 1996-1997 season. Held December 7, 1996 in Old Cabell Hall, the concerts were the final performances conducted by Fennell prior to the arrival of Bruce Tammen as the group's new permanent conductor. The concert featured a guest appearance by the Virginia Gentlemen.

The concert was recorded and released on cassette as 56th Annual Christmas Concerts.
