Derwood S. Chase, Jr., of Charlottesville, Virginia, was publicity manager of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1951-1952 season, and was also a member in 1949-1950 and 1950-1951. Graduating in 1952, he was also a member of Alpha Tau Omega, the first year social committee, Army ROTC, the Student Union, Phi Eta Sigma, Pi Delta Epsilon, the P.K. Society, Skull and Keys, the Raven Society, Omicron Delta Kappa, and T.I.L.K.A., and was advertising manager of the Cavalier Daily and varsity tennis manager.[1]
Chase founded and is president and chief executive officer of the Chase Investment Counsel Corporation. He served as a director of the Virginia Glee Club Alumni and Friends Association, and is currently an advisor to the board.
