Ernest Milmore Stires (born 1866 in Norfolk, Virginia – died 1951) was secretary and treasurer of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1887-1888 season. During his time at the University of Virginia, he was the secretary-treasurer of the football association and secretary of the Phi Kappa Psi Tennis Club, and was also the recipient of the Virginia University Magazine medal.
After graduation, Stires attended the Virginia Theological Seminary and received his divinity degree in 1901. He served as priest at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in New York City and ultimately as bishop of Long Island from 1925 to 1942.
