Francis Bayard Rhein

Francis Bayard Rhein (January 5, 1915 in Saunderstown, Rhode Island – January 2, 1994)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1934-1935 and 1935-1936 seasons. A first year in 1934-1935, he was also a member of Phi Kappa Sigma, a reporter for College Topics, and on the staff of Corks and Curls.[2] He lived in 1 West Lawn[3] in 1937–1938.

After graduating from the University of Virginia, he briefly studied at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School before attending the Virginia Theological Seminary, graduating in 1942. He served as a Navy chaplain during World War II, where he served with the Marines in the Battle of Okinawa. He subsequently held posts as rector in several Episcopal churches, including St. Peter's Church in Philadelphia and Trinity Church in Upperville, Virginia.[4]
