The 145th Anniversary Reunion of the Virginia Glee Club was held April 22-24, 2016 as part of the Glee Club 2015-2016 season, in celebration of the Glee Club's founding in 1871. Organized by the Virginia Glee Club Alumni and Friends Association with help from Kevin Chen and Jessica Wiseman, the weekend included an informal reception at the Glee Club House; an alumni sing in Old Cabell Hall led by Frank Albinder, John Liepold, Donald Loach, and Bruce Tammen; a tour of the Glee Club's archives in the Small Special Collections Library; and a banquet with a performance by the Glee Club and the Virginia Gentlemen.
Of the event, Albinder said in an interview with UVA Today:
I am looking forward to having at least 100 alumni on stage with the current members of the Glee Club, and looking forward to the fellowship and the music.[1]
