Gerachis, 1979 Corks and Curls
George Matthew Gerachis, of Purcellville, Virginia, was vice-president of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1978-1979 season and was also a member in 1980-1981. Graduating with his BA with high distinction in 1979 from the University of Virginia, Gerachis entered law school at Virginia, graduating in 1983. He lived in 13 West Lawn[1] in 1978–1979, and was also a member of the Virginia Gentlemen,[2] University Union (where he was co-chair of the Speakers Committee), and the Raven Society.[3]
He was admitted to the Texas bar in 1983. Gerachis is now Head of the Tax and Employment Benefits/Executive Compensation (EBEC) Department of Vinson and Elkins LLP.[4]
