Howard William Richard Biers (December 3, 1904 in New York, New York – March 15, 1967)[1][2] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1922-1923 season. He was a second year during the season.[3]
Biers was a metallurgist who worked for Union Carbide. During World War II he worked as an advisor to the Department of Munitions and Supply of the Canadian government, and was the Canadian Chairman of the Ferro Alloy Committee of the War Production Board and Canada's representative in the joint United States - United Kingdom Canadian Metallurgical Mission.[2]
