Haverty, 1952 Corks and Curls
Howard Onno Haverty, Sr. (October 1, 1926 in Smithfield, Virginia - April 12, 2004)[1][2] was the manager of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1950-1951 season, and was also a member in 1949-1950. Graduating in 1952, he was also a member of Delta Upsilon.[3] He lived in 26 East Range[4] in 1950–1951.
During World War II, he served in the US Air Force. While at the University of Virginia he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon. After graduation, he worked in finance at Bank of Smithfield (later Dominion Bank).
