Liebrand, 1949 Biopsy
Ira Clair Liebrand (July 13, 1924 in Helena, Oklahoma – July 20, 2006)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1944-1945 season. Completing his medical degree in 1949, he was also a member of the Raven Society, the Biopsy staff, the Medical Interfraternity Council, the Jabberwock Society, the University Band, Omicron Delta Kappa, and was president of Nu Sigma Nu.[2][3]
Dr. Liebrand served in the United States Navy (on loan to the US Army Medical Corps) during the Korean Conflict. He was in private practice in internal medicine for 40 years in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and also served terms as chief of medicine and chief of staff in the Bartlesville hospitals.[1]
