Gerber, 1939 Corks and Curls
Jesse Edward Gerber (June 19, 1917 in Elizabeth, New Jersey – November 13, 1995)[1][2] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1935-1936 season. Graduating in 1939, he was also a member of the University Band, the Student Union, and the freshman basketball team.[3]
Note: There were two J. Gerbers at the University of Virginia in 1935-1936. We believe the Glee Club one was Jesse Edward Gerber, but he may have been John Ward Gerber, of Malba, New York, who left the University after one year.[4]
