Warwick, 1952 Corks and Curls

John Auburn Warwick, Jr. (1928-April 1, 2002), of Charlottesville, Virginia, was president of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1951-1952 season, the final season during which Stephen Tuttle was conductor, and was also a member in 1949-1950 and 1950-1951. Graduating in 1952, he was also a member of Delta Upsilon, the Cavalier Daily, the Army ROTC, Delta Sigma Pi, and Jefferson Sabres.[1]

Born in Charlottesville, Warwick served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and during the Korean War. After graduating from UVA, he served in the United States Army as an officer and studied voice at the Juilliard School. He worked at J.C. Penney, was manager of Stevens-Shepherd Co. in Norfolk, and became General Manager of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.[2]
