John Dangerfield Haxall, 1948 Corks and Curls
John Dangerfield Haxall (March 5, 1925 – June 8, 2014),[1][2] of Ligonier, Pennsylvania,[3] was manager of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1947-1948 season. Graduating in 1948, University of Virginia he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, serving as the Virginia Eta chapter's president during 1947-1948.[4]
He was in the Navy during World War II, having been commissioned as an ensign at the Notre Dame Midshipman School on March 6, 1945, and served on an LSM (Landing Ship, Medium) in the Pacific Theatre.[5]
He worked in personnel and labor relations for many years, serving as the Labor Relations Director at Westinghouse Atomic Fuel & Atomic Equipment, then later as the Secretary of the Labor Relations Board for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.[2]
