John McCown

John Andrew McCown II (July 4, 1918 – February 20, 1945)^[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1940-1941 season. He was a law student during the season.^[2]

McCown served as a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army, Company C, 86th Mountain Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division in World War II. He was killed in action at the Riva Pioge, Italy and is interred in the Florence American Cemetery and Memorial in Florence, Italy.^[1]
