John Robert Wood, of Sharpsville, Pennsylvania, was president of the Virginia Glee Club during its 1971-1972 season, as well as serving as business manager during the 1970-1971 season. As president, he oversaw the release of the record A Shadow's on the Sundial and the group's first European tour. Wood lived in 19 West Lawn[1] in 1971–1972. Graduating in 1972, he was also a member of the Virginia Gentlemen,[2], the University Guides, Alpha Epsilon Delta, the secretary of Delta Sigma Phi, the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society, and Phi Sigma.[3]
He currently serves on the board of directors as an alumni director of the Virginia Glee Club Alumni and Friends Association.
