
McTigue, 1946 Corks and Curls
John W. McTigue (November 16, 1925 in Huntington, West Virginia – January 1, 2002)[1][2] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1943-1944, 1944-1945, and 1945-1946 seasons. Graduating in 1946, he was also a member of Beta Theta Pi and the Y.M.C.A., and was the manager of the football team.[3]
McTigue served in the United States Navy during World War II. He received a medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and practiced as an eye doctor in Washington, DC from 1955 to 2001, where he was President Lyndon B. Johnson's eye doctor.[4]
