Joseph Robert Winstead, Jr., (ca. 1927 in Newport News, Virginia – September 9, 1995)[1] was president of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1947-1948 season. He also served as manager during the 1946-1947, and was also a member in 1945-1946. Graduating in 1950 with an engineering degree, he was also a member of Sigma Chi, Corks and Curls, the Virginia Engineering Review, the Dagger Society, the Jabberwock Society, and was also president of the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society.[2]
After graduating, he spent from 1950 to 1975 working at Newport News Shipbuilding, and retired from J.J. McMullen as vice president and technical director in 1994. He also completed a masters in business administration from the University of Michigan.[1]
