
Bevan, 1947 Corks and Curls
Kenneth Ford Bevan, Jr.[1] (June 29, 1923 in West Pittston, Pennsylvania – October 5, 2012)[2] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1941-1942, 1942-1943, and 1943-1944 seasons. Graduating in 1947, he was also a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, the first year and varsity football teams, the V Club, Skull and Keys, the Interfraternity Council, and NROTC.[3] He lived in 12 East Lawn[4] in 1943–1944.
Bevan served in the United States Navy during World War II, receiving the America-Asiatic-Pacific and Philippine Liberation Medals and two Bronze Stars. After leaving the service, he worked at Vicks Chemical Company, later Richardson-Merrill Inc., and later became a management consultant.[5]
