Louis Stableford, 1937 Corks and Curls

Louis Thanter Stableford (July 30, 1914 in Meriden, Connecticut – June 30, 1998 in East Thetford, Vermont)[1][2] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1933-1934, 1934-1935, and 1935-1936 seasons. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1937, where he was also a member of the Virginia Players, and attended Yale University, receiving his Ph.D. in Zoology in 1941.

Stableford began teaching biology at Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania in 1941. During World War II he entered the Army Air Corps as a captain, serving as an aviation physiologist.[3] After the war he became a full professor and head of the biology department at Lafayette College, and retired in 1979.
