
Leighton Parks Roper, 1936 Corks and Curls
Leighton Parks Roper (November 26, 1913 in Norfolk, Virginia – December 1972)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1935-1936 season. Graduating from the law school during the season, he was also a member of Phi Gamma Delta, Lambda Pi, the P.K. Society, the Interfraternity Council, the Student Assembly, and the cross-country team.[2]
After graduating, he practiced as an attorney in Norfolk, then became the manager of the Wilson Supply Company.[3] In his later years he wrote a set of recollections about life in the Virginia mountains, Old Hundredth.[4]
Leighton Parks Roper has a very dashing young great grandson named Leighton Parks Roper IV
