Macon M. Arthur (March 1, 1922 in Goldsboro, NC – April 9, 2006)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1939-1940 and 1940-1941 seasons. A second year student during 1940-1941, he was also a member of Phi Gamma Delta.[2]
Mr. Arthur served in the US Army during World War II, in Europe, where he participated in campaigns in Normandy and Eastern France, then in the Phillippines and Japan. He retired as a Major in the Army Reserves. Mr. Arthur practiced law in Washington, DC, Chicago, IL and Paris, France.[1]
