Martin J. Lowenkopf (March 16, 1928 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey – May 21, 2021)[1][2] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1945-1946 and 1946-1947 seasons. Graduating in 1949, he was also a member of Phi Epsilon Pi, WUVA, the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society, and the staffs of Corks and Curls and the Virginia Spectator.[3]
Lowenkopf worked at the United States Department of State from 1961 to 1966, and in 1975-1989, when he retired as Deputy Director in Intelligence and Research for African Affairs.[2]
