The P.K. Society was one of two student organizations, along with the German Club, responsible for organizing student dances at the University of Virginia. The founding date of the society is uncertain, but the P.K. Society was in existence by 1898, based on its presence in the 1898 Corks and Curls. Some time later, P.K. merged with the German Club to form P.K. German.

There were several Virginia Glee Club alumni who were also  P.K. Society members.
