Russell Alton Wright (October 6, 1927 in Newport News, Virginia – January 26, 2015)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1946-1947, 1947-1948, 1948-1949 and 1949-1950 seasons. Completing his undergraduate work in 1950, he was also a member of Navy ROTC, the track team, the Raven Society, the French Club, and the Y.M.C.A.[2]
Wright also received a law degree from the University of Virginia and practiced law as a partner for the firm of Christian, Marks, Scott and Spicer, later Williams Mullen, until his retirement in 2005. He also served as the chairman of the Virginia State Water Control Board and was active in Masonic organizations.[1]
