Randolph Conroy (July 5, 1905 in Brooklyn, New York – April 1975)[1][2] was president of the Virginia Glee Club during both the 1923-1924 and 1924-1925 seasons, making him the first Glee Club president to hold two consecutive terms and one of the only ones, aside from Malcolm Gannaway and Thomas Deal, to hold more than one term. He was also a member during the 1921-1922 and 1922-1923 seasons.
In addition to the Glee Club, Conroy was a member of Beta Theta Pi.[3] He also played piano and directed the Glee Club Orchestra,[4] which appears to have been a big band that played for Glee Club sponsored dances as well as participating in Glee Club concerts. Conroy and his orchestra apparently became a fixture in Charlottesville, as advertisements for the presence of the orchestra at "The Chimney," a restaurant that sat 2 miles north of the Charlottesville city limits on Rt. 29, appeared in The Cavalier Daily as late as 1949.[5]
