Robert Clayton Fitzgerald (September 22, 1921 – October 10, 2001)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1939-1940 season. He was a second year engineering student during the season.[2]

Fitzgerald graduated with a BA from the University of Virginia in 1941 and entered the United States Marine Corps in 1942, fighting at the Pacific front until 1945 and rising to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He completed his J.D. at the University in 1946 and entered the practice of law in Falls Church, Virginia. He was appointed a trial judge in Fairfax, Virginia, and subsequently held the post of Commonwealth's Attorney for Fairfax County from 1954 to 1963, when he was elected to the Virginia Senate.[1]
