
Roger A. Massey, 1954 Corks and Curls
Roger Arguelles Massey, Jr. (July 29, 1930 in Havana, Cuba – November 7, 2017),[1] of Norfolk, Virginia, was the business manager of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1952-1953 season, and was also a member in 1951-1952. Graduating with a B.A. in physics in 1954, he was also a member of the V-Club, Phi Eta Sigma, the Trident Society, and the fencing team.[2]
Massey served as a captain in the United States Navy in the Vietnam War, and was honored as the 9th Navy pilot to complete over 1000 aircraft carrier landings. He earned a Ph.D. from UC Davis and worked on the Strategic Defense Initiative.[3]
