Samuel Howard Garst in "Our Augusta Heritage"

Samuel Howard Garst, (September 3, 1906 in Blountville, Tennessee – February 7, 1950)[1][2] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1927-1928 and 1930-1931 seasons. A first year medical student during the 1927–28 season, he had received his B.A. from Bridgewater College.[3] He was a resident of 66 East Range[4] in 1927-1928 and 32 East Range[4] in 1928-1929.

He graduated from the University of Virginia with his MD in 1931 and became a surgeon in Staunton, Virginia. He died of a heart attack in 1950.[5]
