Spiros Basil Skenderis (February 7, 1932 in Danville, Virginia – June 1, 1989)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1951-1952 season. Graduating in 1954, he was also a member of Delta Sigma Pi.[2]
Skenderis served in the United States Army in the Korean Conflict. He received his law degree from Washington and Lee University, and entered private practice in Danville until 1965, when he became Assistant Commonwealth Attorney for the city. In 1970, he was appointed judge for the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. At the time of his death he was the secretary for the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts of Virginia. He was co-founder of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Danville. Following his death, a scholarship was established in his name by the Danville Bar Association.[3]
