Root, 1946 Corks and Curls
Stephen N. Root (December 23, 1925 in Brookline, Massachusetts - March 30, 2011) was the librarian of the Virginia Glee Club during the 1944-1945 and manager of the Glee Club during the 1945-1946 seasons. Graduating in 1946, he was also a member of Sigma Chi, the Dagger Society, Alpha Chi Sigma, and the Y.M.C.A.[1]
Root attended Tufts Medical School from 1947-1949, then took a Masters in Public Health from the University of Michigan School of Public Health in 1966. His career in public health included a term at the University of Hartford Graduate School of Business and Public Administration.[2]
