Thomas B. Porter (February 18, 1931 in Parkersburg, West Virginia - April 21, 2011)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1949-1950 and 1950-1951 seasons. Graduating in 1952, he was also a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon, Lambda Pi,the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society, the Trident Society,the Virginia Spectator staff, and Naval ROTC.[2] He lived in 1 West Lawn[3] in 1951–1952 and in 21 West Lawn[3] in 1952–1953.
Porter worked in sales and marketing and founded his own company in the last fifteen years before his retirement, Polymer Concepts, Inc.[1] His obituary in the University of Virginia Magazine says:
... (Col ’52 L/M) of Charlotte, N.C., died April 21, 2011. … Mr. Porter went on to work in sales and marketing for most of his career, including his own company, Polymer Concepts, for the 15 years before retirement. He enjoyed memoirs and freelance business article writing, and had articles published in several business publications.[4]
