Thomas Marshall Duer, Jr. (August 21, 1912 in Baltimore, Maryland – June 13, 2003 in White Stone, Virginia)[1][2] was the manager of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1932-1933 season; he was also a member during the Glee Club 1931-1932 season.

Duer graduated from the University of Virginia in 1934 with a degree in English. During World War II he enlisted in the Coast Guard, where he escorted shipping vessels in the Atlantic, and was honorably discharged as a lieutenant. He worked at his family owned wholesale hardware business, becoming president and chief executive officer of John Duer and Sons before his retirement in 1994.

He was active in causes related to the Chesapeake Bay, helping to found the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in 1967, Chesapeake Appreciation Days in 1964, the Oyster Recovery Partnership, and the Potapskut Sailing Association.[2]
