
Ansbro, 1951 Corks and Curls
Thomas Martin Ansbro (April 3, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York – April 2, 2012)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1949-1950 season. Graduating with an education degree in 1951, he was also a member of Delta Psi Omega and the Virginia Players, and was associate editor of the Virginia Spectator and a technical assistant in the Department of Drama.[2]
Ansbro served in World War II as a Navy Seabee and underwater demolition expert and diver. He graduated from the University of Virginia and worked as a technical writer for the Army Quartermaster School in Fort Lee, Virginia. He then transferred to the Advanced Undersea Weapons School in Florida, where he worked in Naval education. After leaving the Navy, he finished his career as an education and training consultant for CNet and a technical writing instructor at Pensacola Junior College. He was a founding member of the Pensacola Opera.[1]
