The Virginia Glee Club Wiki Living Persons policy for articles is as follows. It constitutes a definition of the articles covered under this policy, and four "rights" that accrue to the subjects of covered articles.

If information about a person's death date is available, this policy does not apply.
If information about a person's date of death is not publicly available, this policy is assumed to apply as follows:
- Last year of participation is 1940-1941 or earlier: Person is assumed not living and is denoted as belonging to the categories Category:Year of birth missing (dead people) and Category:Year of death missing (classified as deceased).
- Last year of participation is 1941-1942 or later: Person is assumed living and is denoted as belonging to the categories Category:Year of birth missing (living people) and Category:Living people (classified as living).
Right of birth date privacy[]
Birth dates are not recorded for persons classified as living, unless that person's birth date is publicly recorded in a system of record such as Wikipedia or another encyclopedia (see reliable sources).
Right of biographical information privacy[]
For living persons, biographical information about the person's activities, affiliations, and memberships while at the University of Virginia, or their affiliation with the Virginia Glee Club Alumni and Friends Association, is assumed to be public information and may be included in an article about them. Such information should generally be supported by reliable sources.
For living persons, biographical information about a person's activities, affiliation, and employment other than that covered above is assumed to be private information and should not be included in an article about them, unless such information is published in an article in a system of record such as Wikipedia or another encyclopedia (see reliable sources).
Right to waive privacy[]
Any person may waive any of the rights listed in this policy by providing information to the wiki directly via comments or an article's Talk page.
Right of redress[]
If information about a person is in violation of one of these rights, you can request redress on the Talk page of this policy.
