Virgil Van Street (May 11, 1907 in Oregon – September 17, 1989),[1] of Bridgeville, Delaware,[2] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1925-1926 season. A first year student during the season, he was also a member of the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society.

Street completed his undergraduate work at the University of Delaware and his law degree at the University of Maryland. During World War II he served on the Rationing Board of the state of Maryland, then later was an assistant US Attorney. He joined the US Justice Department in 1946 and served as a prosecutor at the Nuremberg war crimes trials until 1948. He then joined the foreign service, and was posted to the Philippines, China, Israel, and Japan. Retiring from the foreign service in 1968, he attended Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia, and was ordained an Episcopal priest in 1970. He served parishes in Baltimore and Ellicott City until his retirement in 1976.[3]
