
Cornell, 1940 Corks and Curls
Walter Francis Cornnell (October 24, 1918 in Alexandria, Virginia – 1999)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1938-1939 season. Graduating in 1940, he was also a member of the Echols Mathematics Club, the Historian of the College of Arts and Sciences, and a member of the Dagger Society, the Raven Society, and Phi Beta Kappa.[2][3] He lived in 5 West Lawn[4].
Cornnell received a masters degree from George Washington University. He served in the United States Marine Corps in World War II in the Pacific theatre, and in the Korean Conflict, rising to the rank of colonel.[1]
