Walter Rompel (born January 16, 1895 in Kansas City, Missouri – died December 30, 1972)[1] was the manager of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1916-1917 season.[2] Rompel received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1916 and was a candidate for a Masters of Science in 1917. At the University of Virginia, Rompel was the president of the German Club and was a member of Lambda Pi Academic Fraternity, PK, and Beta Theta Phi. Rompel lived at 44 East Lawn during the 1916-1917 year.
