William Gerhard Suhling (July 2, 1921 in Lynchburg, Virginia – June 4, 1943)[1] was a member of the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1939-1940 season. He was a first year student during the season, and was on the football team.[2]
Suhling served in World War II in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, rising to the rank of first lieutenant. He was killed in El Toro, California in 1943, where he was in flight training school.[1][3]
