William Hanna Sweeney (August 27, 1869 in Wheeling, West Virginia – 1928)[1][2][3] was president of the Virginia Glee Club (as the Banjo, Mandolin, and Guitar and Glee Clubs) during the Glee Club 1891-1892 season.
He graduated from Washington and Jefferson College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and from the University of Virginia, and was employed by Duquense Power and Light in Pittsburgh. He is also said to have directed an orchestra in Pittsburgh.[2]
