Zelotes Wood Coombs (June 8, 1865 – 1946)[1][2] directed the Virginia Glee Club during the Glee Club 1889-1890 season.[3]
Coombs graduated from Amherst College.[4] He joined the University of Virginia in 1889 as instructor of physical culture.[5] He subsequently became a professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.[6]
